A Little Bit About Me
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep passion for women’s health and fitness, as I know how this correlates to overall well-being. My enthusiasm is what led me to take the step into full time personal training, to partner with women and empower them on their health and fitness journeys.
I’ve been a certified Personal Trainer for seventeen (17) years, working part-time in the industry, mainly training friends, family, and myself. I have also worked on a full-time basis over the last twenty-five (25) years helping persons navigate various life challenges – from emotional and mental health to substance misuse and personal traumas. These experiences have given me a wealth of understanding of people’s unique life journeys and their need to be empowered compassionately and as individuals.
Fitness, for me, isn’t just about hard work—it’s about enjoying the process, celebrating progress, and embracing life with a positive, vibrant spirit. I want to help you bring that same enthusiasm and love for life into your health and fitness journey adding a little Caribbean flair to keep things fun and exciting!
In addition to my personal training experience, I have faced my own health challenges. Nine (9) years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Managing this condition has been a transformative part of my life but I’ve experienced firsthand how a consistent, balanced fitness and nutrition lifestyle, can, not only help manage symptoms, but also dramatically improve quality of life. Having additionally trained myself through two pregnancies, and now navigating the peri-menopausal stage of my life, I truly understand many of the unique challenges women face at different seasons of their own lives.
People often ask me, "What's the secret to your health, physical ability, and physique, especially as you approach 49?" The truth is, there isn’t a secret—just a clear, consistent method that has served me well over the years. It's a combination of sustainable lifestyle habits: healthy eating, exercise, and taking care of myself holistically—body, mind, and spirit. This is what I want to share with my clients. It’s not about quick fixes or extreme measures; it’s about cultivating habits that lead to lasting transformation.
